“Cortney, it has been a PLEASURE working with you. I am so thankful that Instagram led me to you. You have helped me throw out food rules I didn’t think I had- like eating more protein that necessary :) I did a lot of work prior to meeting you and this was the PERFECT program for a runner looking for direction with intuitively eating. (Even if we have to force ourselves to eat when we’re not hungry.) Thank you, again!”

“You taught me so many new tools and ways to handle the struggles that I have with my food and nutrition as well health in general.
The program helped me to realize that I am in fact one out of many many women that struggle with food so this made me feel less alone in some of the issues that I have that I don’t usually speak about to others.”

“Realizing I don’t have lack of willpower. I just wasn’t eating an athlete’s plate and it led to binging on sweets. I was pretty sure I would be the one who intuitive eating would not work for, but I was wrong!
I now know food is just food. If I don’t make the best choice I move on and learn from it. I am glad I am modeling this for my teenage daughter.
Your knowledge, personality and God given gifts, allow you to make a real connection with your clients and you have changed my life and my relationship with food and body.”

“I'm more conscious of making sure I get enough protein in. I am also more conscious that I'm not just a runner or a person who likes to exercise. I'm an athlete and I should eat like one and not pay attention to diet culture.”
Kayla
“I truly feel that I do not restrict myself anymore and that I listen to my hunger cues and what my body is saying I need. I feel at peace with this and I do not feel guilt when it comes to how I fuel my body.”

“I now have mental energy to spend on fun things. I don’t constantly worry about what I’m going to eat next or how to make it “healthier” or whatever.
I just want to thank you for doing this. I didn’t realize how much I needed it. I feel so much better about my body and more confident in my nutrition and that means a lot to me. I feel like all women need to go through this course!
By far, I think the biggest accomplishment is that eating (worrying about it, obsessing over it, etc.) is no longer at the front of my mind all the time now. I feel like a weight has been lifted. When I reached out to you a few months ago to start all of this, I was in such a bad spot. I was literally crying myself to sleep at night because I was so stressed over food, what I should be eating, that I wasn’t losing weight, that I would binge, etc.”
Kristen
“My biggest food and running accomplishment has been increased comfort with eating carbohydrates as needed, which usually means multiple times per day. I no longer feel guilty about doing that and I have seen an improvement both when running and also just throughout my day to day life. I have lots more energy and just feel better.
My life/nutrition has changed for the better because I now eat according to what my body needs. I feel healthy, but not restricted and I spend so much less time worrying about what I’m going to eat or regretting eating something I really enjoyed and probably even needed.”

“My biggest accomplishment would be that I don’t count calories anymore!! I feel so free and I don’t actually worry about how much I eat anymore. I took the leap of faith like you told me to and stopped restricting myself. I actually increased my carb intake by a lot.
This led me to have so much energy during the day and for training sessions. I actually had so much energy to complete my workouts and targets as compared to last time. I know this is not important but increasing my carb/ food intake did not lead to any weight gain at all, in fact it was the other way around.
I also enjoy on the weekends by meeting my friends and eating out. I don’t feel the stress anymore and I am so much more happier. My mindset now : eat to run. As I started to increase my food intake and whack my workouts harder, I was finally able to do a sub 20 for my 5k time trial! (Previously:23 min).
I would say eating intuitively has helped me in my recovery.
I really enjoyed reading through the modules. They were indeed helpful and informative. I wouldn’t change anything about this program. I noticed you started introducing new recipes on the group. I think sharing recipes is a great idea! I also loved how all the women came together every week to share their thoughts because I could understand where they come from.

“I am no longer ashamed or afraid of my hunger! This has helped me eat so much more mindfully, and avoid big binges. I've added bigger portions of carbs and I do my best to eat regularly throughout the day.
I'm spending so much less time THINKING about food throughout the day, and doing my best to not overthink the "perfect" meal/snack/timing. Improving my body image is still a work in progress, but through the support of the amazing group I'm focusing more on what my body can DO, and finding clothes that make me feel comfortable.
I really loved how you put it when you said to remember how hard/miserable it was to get to the place where I was my smallest and was that really worth it? NO. Learning how the weight swings are more unhealthy than holding onto more pounds has helped me come to terms with that as well.
The calls and modules are awesome and so helpful, but I really think it got interesting the more people interacted with each other on the facebook group.
Thank you again. This experience has been such a gift.”
